Looking for some fun things to do in Cocoa Beach and Central Florida to bring out the Fall spirit? Here’s some suggestions ranging from free festival events, theme park spectaculars, and exciting nature excursions!
Outdoor Fall Fun
Florida is home to some of the most breath-taking Fall scenery, which is one of its most compelling attractions by its own right between beaches, cities, and the year-round sunshine.
If you’re looking for things to do in Cocoa Beach this fall to enjoy the scenery, helicopter rides or air tours are an exhilarating experience. You can take a ride over the worlds’ second-busiest cruise ship port at Port Canaveral, cruise along the beach to the Cocoa Beach Pier and see sharks and sting rays, or circle the Thousand Islands and see dolphins, pelicans, and manatees.
If you are also interested in the ground experience, there are many other tour types in Cocoa Beach that will give you a less-heightened but closer up experience. There are lots of companies that provide a number of different tour types this fall, like boat tours on the river and intercostal areas, eco tours to experience the wildlife and unique nature Florida has to offer, and birding excursions.
The Central Florida area offers plenty of tours, too. Winter Park has scenic boat tours exploring waterways, gardens, and architecture, or you can choose to make the water tour your own by paddle-boarding or kayaking through Winter Park’s chain of lakes. If you prefer being off the water, Central Florida also offers many Segway and bus tours. Enjoy zip-lining and canopy tours if you’re into more thrilling experiences.

If you’re looking for Central Florida and Cocoa Beach attractions this fall that will be light on your wallet, we’ve got you covered.
The 45th annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival on October 13th and 14th is another exciting event this fall that gives you a good taste of the local community and its art scene. Get to see work by some of Florida’s most talented artists, and enjoy live entertainment, activities for kids and family, and much more. Best of all, the event is free admission to all.
Cocoa Beach also offers its own Fall Art and Craft Festival, hosted October 20th and 21st at Historic Cocoa Village. With over 200 exhibitors, the event is kid and pet friendly, with great food, beer, vendors, and live music. This event is also free admission.
The Brevard Zoo is one of Central Florida’s premier attractions year-round, and has some fun exclusivities in the Fall. Boo at the Zoo is a spooky (and sweet!) family-fun event held at the zoo on the last three weekends of October, featuring tons of candy, a DJ, haunted house, a Boo Choo Train, and other games and contests. Tickets range from $6-$14 per day.
